Conference Opportunity
Ryerson is the location for the Congress of the Humanities and Social Sciences in 2017, from May 27 to June 2. Calls for proposals for the associations that sponsor sessions will open in the fall. This is a great opportunity to participate, either as a presenter or an attendee.

Study on Writing Instruction in Higher Education
This University Affairs news item from 2015 summarizes findings from a Higher Education Quality Council of Ontario report on inconsistent standards of writing instruction at five Ontario universities. The results suggest Procom is doing a lot right.
