A number of excellent job opportunities have been advertised recently.

The Department of Translation at Glendon College has a tenure-track position for someone with a Ph.D. in Communication or related field who is bilingual.

UBC is advertising two tenure-stream positions in writing studies or related fields.

U of T’s Institute for the Study of University Pedagogy has circulated two separate ads for tenure-stream positions in “Writing Studies in Higher Education.” Here’s the other one: positions. You may have to read carefully to understand why there are two ads, but you’ll notice two different reference numbers.

If you live in or near Hamilton, you may want to apply for this introductory communication course (CMST 1A03) at McMaster University for the spring. The deadline for application appears to be March 12.

Here’s a position for an assistant professorship in the Communications Program in the School of Translation at Glendon College. The applicant must be bilingual. The application deadline is January 3, 2020.

Here’s an excellent opportunity at UTM for a teaching position in the area of Writing Studies. Teaching Stream at U of T allows successful candidates to eventually apply for tenure and over time to qualify for an assistant professorship.

Here’s an interesting position in Vancouver for anyone interested in teaching technical writing and developing a curriculum. You have lots of time to apply. The deadline is September 30.

The  Department of Drama and Speech Communication at the University of Waterloo is advertising a number of positions, two of which seem to be tenure-track.  The salary is competitive and the work, on the surface at least, seems to be very interesting.  Deadline for applications is February 1, 2018.

Here’s an opportunity at UBC for an Arts Studies in Research and Writing teaching position in the Faculty of Arts.  They’re advertising one-year and potentially three-year contracts. Apparently the minimum annual salary for a full-time position is $62,353. The deadline is January 15, 2018.
